A valiant effort - a better homage than the travesty by Madame Tussaud's in Singapore!
Sridevi's over-embellished Manish Malhotra sari - the one she wore to Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's wedding reception back in Dec 2017 -- has been recreated beautifully and faithfully.
The doll doesn't look like Sridevi at all obviously - but that wasn't the intention either. Its the Barbie-fication of an Indian icon.
It made us smile....
BTW this isn't the first time there's been a Sridevi doll created. Back in the early 1990s, during the pre-release of Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, expensive dolls wearing the costumes of Sridevi from the film were released. Like the film, the sales of the dolls too weren't much to speak of.
