Despite the age gap, Jeetendra, who was legendarily careful about maintaining himself through diet and exercise, took great pains and sacrifice to maintain his waistline and youthful exuberance while starring in films with co-stars who were decades younger than him.
Never a critic's favourite, but a film producer's, the two brought colour and charm to Hindi cinema.
