Guddi Maruti: Of all the actresses, Sridevi was good. Juhi was cute.

After a long hiatus, comedian Guddi Maruti is back on the scene, having done a rare interview with Bollywood Thikana. You can watch the full interview here. 

It's nice that the YouTube channel is interviewing a variety of people from the Indian  film industry, not just the usual leads and especially the boring non-achiever star kids. Character artists, comedians, the industry is so much bigger than whoever the hero/heroine of the film is. The interview has its moments - but few and far between. Its a bit too long and could have used some crisp editing - and the host should have done a bit more homework and be better prepared. The art of the casual conversation on video is preparing well in advance - which clearly the new host hasn't done here.  

Anyhoo, Sridevi and Guddi Maruti appeared in just five films together (and not always did they have scenes together). Namely; Nagina (1986), Aag aur Shola (1986), Guru (1989), Farishtay (1991) and Chaand kaa Tukdaa (1994).  There's a notorious interview Guddi Maruti did with Cine Blitz where she said Sridevi didn't talk to her or anyone else on set, but Rekha and Madhuri Dixit did. Hmm. It read a bit iffy... But as its now commonly known, Sridevi didn't really speak to anyone on set. She came, did her work and left. Why confuse shyness with arrogance? Oh well.
